CL opener

We have taken 3 points in Marseille for our opening match in CL after a brace from Gerrard secured a 2-1 win. We had to come from behind again just like last weekend's man utd match, this is really not good for our hearts at all :P

Btw, Gerrard's 2 goals were his 98th and 99th goals for Liverpool, 100th is certainly around the corner ! hehehe :)

23 mins : GOAL! Lorik Cana: Cana runs through the heart of the Reds defence and is onside as he slots home the opening goal
26 mins : GOAL! Steven Gerrard: The Reds hit back immediately with a stunning strike from Gerrard which loops over the corner and into the net.

31 mins : Gerrard scores but the ref orders it be taken again. Gerrard keeps his nerve to put the Reds in front mins

75 mins : Great run and cross from Riera, the ball falls to Babel who has to score but is denied by a stunning stop
88 mins : Real chance for Niang to equalise but he heads wide with only Reina to beat
90 mins : Reina makes a brilliant last gasp save to surely win the game for Liverpool
