Yesh ! we beat man utd at home ! so shiok ! words just can't describe the ecstasy in beating them, its a long awaited win, our first league win over United since April 2004 :D (I will never forget the agony in watching John O'shea's injury time winner during my very first live game in Anfield in March 2007)

This time we were without Gerrard and Torres who had just recovered from injuries, but both made the bench. United had to cope with the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo but it was £30million signing Dimitar Berbatov who gave me the biggest scare of the night.

After his clever low cross rolled past the Reds backline,found an unmarked Tevez who duly scored, my heart sank. Its only 3 mins gone and our defence had fallen sleep.

Is history repeating itself again? Its so easy to give up and turn off the TV at the point in time, but no no, I'm hanging on.

Thanks to a determined 2nd half performance, we fought hard and won the game. Mascherano was simply awesome and bossed the midfield, he shut the mouths of man scum, critics, arm chair pundits and proved that last season's red card against them is a one-off, he had proven to be our little boss in midfield with a disciplined and star performance :)
