heartbreaker

On a night when we more then matched Chelsea in a heavyweight tussle for a spot in the Champions League final, we let ourselves down with a late own goal by Riise :( How on earth did Riise think of heading the ball low instead of kicking it away ? How on earth did that 4 minutes of extra time came about ? How on earth did we miss so many chances and not kill the game off ?

Maybe it wouldn't have felt so heartbreaking if the equaliser was scored during the match, but to concede at the last kick of the ball is something really hard to stomach. Its like a full blown balloon was pricked suddenly and it vanished just like that :(

And how about our young 17 year old Reds supporter Liam Harker who only had a couple of weeks left to live? He stayed up to watch our beloved Reds despite being so ill, I couldn't imagine his sadness when he saw that own goal..sigh, I really hope we can win the tie next week, and hopefully, young Liam can have the CL final in 21 May to look forward to...
